Given the rich and varied musical traditions existing in our parishes.

Recognising that music provides essential support for the worship of God’s people.

Noting that worship at Diocesan gatherings often lacks the support of the range of musical traditions and expertise that is available.

This Synod calls for the formation of a
Diocesan Music and Worship Resource Team
whose functions would include:

1. To assess the current musical resources available in the diocese
2. To facilitate training and workshops to support the musical gifts of our people
3. To facilitate worship at Diocesan functions
4. To build skills and resources for Lambeth 2008
